The word escapes my lips so easily
I long to say it to You
over and over
in Your ear.
Sometimes in the night
I whisper it
and I wonder
if You hear.
Does the night's wind
carry it
across the miles
and misty sea
To Your room
to Your heart
where You lay
and think of me?
I gaze at the moon sometimes
when it's full
and bright
And I hope You are
out there somewhere
watching it too
catching the same light.
"Master," I say
with my eyes to the stars
and then
I feel whole.
It echoes through the sky
with soft refrains
and attempts
to kiss Your soul.
