There is no one left to save here.
The Princess released herself from the tower
as our 'hero' was polishing his sword.
Somewhere between rage
and understanding,
she cut off her hair,
walked the downward spiral,
and calmly jumped into the water.
She came to the realization that
her 'fairy-tale' existence was not real.
The shoes did not fit...
the beds were never comfortable...
and the 'Prince' was somehow lacking.
And the disillusioned Princess,
finding herself locked in reality,
releases herself from torment
as the dream slowly fades.
She will no longer wait for our
fairy-tale 'hero'....
