I hide behind a thousand faces
I laugh behind a million names
as long as I hide, you can't touch me.
As long as I laugh, I won't be hurt.
So I hide, and I laugh
With my masks and my names
waiting and watching for the faintest sign.
So the faces are a game
and the names are my mind
I'm tired of hiding,
but the faces are part of me.
I'm tired of laughing,
but the names can't leave.
I don't want to be alone,
and if I am just me,
alone is what I'm doomed to be.
So I hide, and I laugh
With my masks and my names
Wishing and praying for the faintest sigh.
