Slashing,
dripping,
bleed this feeling away.
Bite my lip,
bite the bullet,
chew the cold sore
until it's forced away,
swallowed, digested,
and flushed away.
Wash my hands,
let the faucet run,
calm my spirit,
my river of thoughts,
listening to the hollow insides,
finding my inner peace
in the aftermath of my holocaust.
